Benefits
What does this project mean for you and your community?
LOCAL ECONOMIC IMPACT
Over its lifetime, Aspen Road Solar will pay millions of dollars in tax revenues to the Franklin County. That's 35 years of revenue from a project that does not require costly infrastructure or public services, increase traffic or impact prime farmland. Further, during construction, the project will require hundreds of workers on site, which will provide an economic boost to area businesses and service providers.
LOCALLY GENERATED CLEAN ENERGY
Home-grown solar is vital to bolstering Fannett Township’s grid resilience and enables Pennsylvania to meet its goal to increase production of local renewable energy. The transition to clean energy is powered by strong communities whose landowners, local businesses, and citizens recognize their critical role in making it happen.
LAND RESTORATION AND PROTECTION
Aspen Road Solar will offer local landowners the opportunity to preserve large, open tracts of land that can be used for future generations when the solar facility is removed at the end of its useful life. During the life of Aspen Road Solar, pollinators, sheep grazing, wildlife corridors, and other habitat-nurturing features will enable nature to continue to thrive, optimizing our mission as stewards of the land.
